Comprehensive Stability
for OIM, BS, BCO

Comprehensive Stability - course is delivered as per the regulations of 46 CFR 11.470 and meets all requirements listed under the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Resolution A.1079(28), and STCW Convention Regulations I/10 & I/02 - MODU Stability - for the training of OIM, Barge Supervisor, Ballast Control Operator (OIM / BS / BCO). / 5 day course

Upon successful completion the candidate will receive 2 certificates: 

(1) Barge Supervisor (BS)

(2) Comprehensive Stability (OIM, BS, BCO)

Barge Supervisor - meets all requirements listed under the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Resolution  A.1079(28), and STCW Convention Regulations I/10 & I/02  - for the training of Barge Supervisor (BS). / 8 day course

Ballast Control Operator

Ballast Control Operator (BCO) - meets all requirements listed under the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Resolution A.1079(28), and STCW Convention Regulations I/10 & I/02 - MODU Stability - for the training of Ballast Control Operator (BCO). / 4 day course

Offshore Installation Manager

Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) - course is delivered as per the regulations of 46 CFR 11.470 and meets all requirements listed under the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Theory / Rig Move Simulator

This Marine Operations Rig Move course will introduce participants to the theoretical and practical operations for safely moving a Jack-Up unit from one location to another.

Several practical simulations will be carried out throughout the course, enabling the student to experience and practice in real time, issues that can occur during Jacking operations. Demonstrating rig move operations, preloading, jacking, punch through, approaching open water locations and alongside fixed jackets, etc.

Students attending this course all become more confident in performing their job, or if they are new to the position will have the confidence to step directly into a rig move.

This training program introduces the Management Principles as the first stage of development for Emergency Managers and provides a controlled, stressful, simulated emergency environment that candidates can develop and build Teamwork and Confidence under Appraisal rather than Assessment conditions. This program is ‘non-fail’.

This is a Practical Assessment Program for current OIM's, Deputy or Potential Duty Holders requiring Official Assessment & Certification in Managing / Controlling Emergencies. The Practical Assessments expose the OIM to a controlled, stressful, simulated emergency environment where they are required to meet various performance criteria.

This course is designed to refresh existing EMT & CMT Members in the principles of Incident Command System Strategy & Tactics, enabling them to be both proactive & effective members within the company’s ICS structure. The course is used to reintroduce the underpinning knowledge required by members performing their roles within the EMT & CMT groups.

Major Emergency Management training is delivered to OPITO standards and is available at our Training Center in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Training is also available as Customized Group Training for Companies at your location. "Our Simulator is portable". Contact us for information regarding Group Training.

Training Center

Seaway Academy provides training for the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry at our training center in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Khon Kaen City is 40 minutes NE of Bangkok and is considered one of the main educational centers in Thailand.

 

The following courses are provided:

  • Comprehensive Stability (OIM, BS, BCO)

  • Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)

  • Ballast Control Operator (BCO)

  • Barge Supervisor (BS)

  • Marine Operations of Self-Elevating Platforms / Jack-up Rig Move - Simulator

  • OIMCE / 2-3 days depending on participants (4-10 participants)

  • MEMIR / 2-3 days depending on participants (4-10 participants)

  • EMT/Shore Support Team / 2 days (8-20 participants) // scheduled upon request and usually provided at clients location.
